So I’d just got home from the gym today, the sun was shining and I thought what better thing to make than a delicious and refreshing summer juice to cool me down- seeing as my smoothie yesterday was such a success. Yum.
I grabbed some carrots, an apple, a stick of celery, some cucumber, a squeeze of lemon and splash of orange juice and bunged it all in the blender. Et voilà!
But instead of a light and summery drink, I had created a yellow, swampy looking purée that resembled something more like baby food! I was slightly gutted. I drank it anyway, seeing as I was basically getting my 5-a-day in one glass, (the things we do for health eh) but it definitely tasted more like a rather peculiar vegetable cocktail.
I think I might just follow a recipe next time…
