So here is my detox juice that I mentioned in my previous post, that I whipped up this morning to help ease me back into eating healthily. As always, anything I make in the kitchen is a bit of an experiment, so I just used anything I could find in the fridge etc. It worked a treat and was sooo refreshing! I will definitely be making this one again. It was rather thick, so technically I can’t decide if it’s classed as a juice or more of a smoothie…I’ll leave that one up to you.
2 small carrots
1 red apple (skin left on)
A handful of frozen blueberries
A splash of orange juice
Juice of half a lemon
And then simply blend until smooth!
This is a very antioxidant-rich juice! Blueberries, lemons and carrots are all bursting with the stuff. I love blueberries at the moment, and frozen ones are so handy to pop into a smoothie or porridge! Like lemons, they are rich in Vitimin C which helps boost the immune system. I really liked the addition of the carrot alongside the fruit, it makes it so delicious- I will definitely be adding it to more smoothies and juices!
