So for breakfast today, I thought I would whip up a delicious Banana, Avocado & Date Smoothie, as we have loads of bananas in the house that needed using up. Plus, I’ve been dying to add avocado to my smoothie after I was inspired by one that I bought with my friend the other day. (I think if I had to live off one food forever, it would be avocado.)
I’m pretty happy with how it turned out- the combo of the bananas and avocado really make it thick and creamy and the dates add that healthy bit of sweetness!
My measurements don’t really exist, as I sort of threw it all together, always the case when I’m experimenting in the kitchen! But here are the ingredients you will need:
- 2 ripe bananas
- Some dates- as many as you want!
- 1/2 avocado
- Almond milk- how much you use depends how thick you want it
- Tsp of coconut oil
- A few tablespoons of oats
Once you’ve added all the ingredients, blend until smooth!
